The ‘Versailles’ Planter Bench
The ‘Versailles’ Seating Structure is made of 1.57” x 1.57” (4 x 4 cm) steel tubings. It is welded in one single piece, hot-dip galvanised and powder coated in black. This bench part itself weighs 44 .lbs (20 kg). It will connect easily with the two Large Square Versailles Garden Planters – each at 20 kg – to form an unusual garden bench: The ‘Versailles’ Planter Bench, featuring two garden planters on each side. The seating structure is gummed where it connects with the two garden planters to protect these from any scratches. There is no need for nuts and bolts. Other sizes made to order. 10 years guarantee against rust.
The Versailles Planter Bench: an unusual garden seat
Gardens are there to enjoy, and a Versailles Planter Bench is the perfect spot from which to do so! This unusual, attractive planter-box bench consists of five parts: two metal Versailles planters, two plastic inner containers and the Versailles seating element. A garden bench is a pretty common structure, found in many a garden and park – but you won’t see many like this. Its high-quality design makes this planter bench an eye-catching piece of garden furniture even before you’ve planted any flowers in it – but once the two Versailles planters are bursting full of foliage and blossom, it becomes a real sight to behold.
Where to place your stylish new two-seater planter bench
The sky’s the limit when it comes to choosing the perfect spot for this stunning planter bench seat, as it suits pretty much any space and style of garden. But in fact, you don’t need to worry too much about finding the perfect spot because the bench can be moved around so easily that you can simply reposition it every season – or even every week – if you want to! All you need to do is remove the seating element, carry the garden planters to your chosen spot and reassemble the bench. It takes a matter of minutes. What’s more, you don’t have to limit yourself to just your garden – the Versailles Planter Bench is also a great choice for balconies, terraces and rooftop gardens. In fact, especially in rooftop gardens, where planting space is often limited or non-existent, a planter bench is perfect. It also solves the perennial problem of plant pots blowing over in the wind. The two Versailles planters are incredibly stable and totally stormproof, making the Versailles Planter Bench a truly ideal choice for rooftop gardens big and small.
Using the Versailles Planter Bench in public or shared spaces
This exclusive metal seat can also be used in public or shared spaces, such as in parks or in front of communal buildings, where it will be admired and enjoyed by all who use it. The Versailles Planter Bench is a great choice for hotel grounds and spa gardens. With its unusual, eye-catching design, it will brighten up spaces of all kinds, such as town squares, station waiting areas and playgrounds.
You could even use this stylish planter bench inside, if you want to. It makes an elegant addition to an office reception area, for example, where it is sure to impress clients and any other visitors who walk past it or decide to sit awhile. If you plan to use the Versailles Planter Bench inside, you will need a drip tray to catch the water that drains through the planters. For an extra fee, we can include this along with your planter bench, so that when your new two-seater planter bench arrives, you’re all ready to go!
Assembling the Versailles Planter Bench
This gorgeous metal planter bench couldn’t be simpler to construct. All you need to do is place the two garden planters on the ground at a distance from one another that is approximately equivalent to the length of the seating element. Then simply lower the seating element down onto the two planters and secure using the simple connection system, first at one end and then at the other. And that’s it! No nuts, no bolts, no fasteners, no screws – and most importantly, no stress. The two ends of the seating element are covered in a protective layer of rubber so that they do not scratch the two Versailles planters.
Customising your new metal planter bench
The Versailles Planter Bench comes as standard in black matt, but we can also powder coat it in a different colour for you if you prefer. You can choose from the full range of RAL colours, with popular choices being RAL 1015 Light Ivory and RAL 9010 Pure White. There are other ways you can customise this stylish planter bench seat too. For example, we could produce it for you in a different size so that it fits just perfectly into the spot you have earmarked for it. Please get in touch if you would like to discuss a bespoke piece. We would be really happy to advise you.
Our container-in-container system
Life’s too short for unnecessarily complicated tasks. That’s why here at Classic Garden Elements, we try to simplify things for you – for example, with our handy container-in-container system. Each Versailles planter comes with a plastic inner container, into which you will plant your flowers. Unlike the heavy planters, this inner container is lightweight and therefore really easy to move around. So when you want to plant or replant your Versailles planters, all you need do is remove the inner container, take it to a warm, dry spot like a conservatory, garden shed or greenhouse, and do your gardening there. Not only does this mean you won’t get rained on whilst you work, it also means you don’t have to lug the heavy Versailles planters around the garden with you. And given that each garden planter weighs 20 kg by itself, without plants and soil, that would be pretty backbreaking work! It also means that if you have plants that need to be brought inside to overwinter, it’s incredibly easy to do so.
What to plant in your Versailles Planter Bench
‘What shall I plant in my garden bench?’ That’s probably not a question you’ve had to ask yourself before, but if you buy a Versailles Planter Bench, you will need to think about this! This wonderful planter bench seat has ample planting room, thanks to the two Large Versailles Planters, so you can get creative and really personalise your planter bench through your choice of flowers and plants. You could even use the planters in different ways in the various seasons. For example, in the winter you could plant small, hardy bushes and shrubs in the two garden planters. During the festive season you might even decorate your Versailles Planter Bench with fairy lights and baubles to give it a splash of seasonal charm. When it gets to springtime, why not plant a few different kinds of bulbs so that you’ll be able to enjoy a colourful array of flowers at each end of your planter bench in due course?
