Product details Sezincote Hall Treillage Panel Set
This attractive metal garden trellis set is made from 2-cm steel tubing and 2-cm steel bands. Each of the three wall trellis panels are made by welding individual steel elements together to form solid structures. The wall trellis panels are then hot-dip galvanised and powder coated in black matt. This wonderful garden trellis set comes in two sizes – the smaller Sezincote Set and the larger Sezincote Grand Set. Each set comprises two rectangular wall trellis panels and one central perspective trellis panel, which creates a fabulous 3D effect on the wall.
If you prefer, you can order either of the Sezincote wall trellis sets in a colour other than black – any RAL colour is possible. Our process of hot-dip galvanising and then powder coating the wall trellises means that they are rustproof and won’t rust for many years. In fact, we guarantee that they won’t rust for 10 years. Included with the set are the hooks you’ll need to mount the garden trellis panels to the wall. The hooks ensure that the wrought-iron trellis is hung at the correct distance from the façade, namely 10 cm. This allows air to circulate freely behind the wall-mounted trellis and also allows rain water to drain away easily. What we do not provide are the fasteners and screws for attaching the hooks to your chosen wall, so you will have to source these yourself before mounting your new wrought-iron trellis.
Outdoor wall trellis inspired by English country house
The Sezincote Set and the Sezincote Grand Set get their name from an English country house called Sezincote Hall. The property is in the Cotswolds, in the county of Gloucestershire. This might be one of the most unusual country houses in the country! It was built in 1803 and is a fantastic example of Neo-Mughal architecture – a 19th-century architectural style that reinterprets the architecture of the Mughal Empire. This Indian-style palace has a Moorish-style onion dome, Arabic arch-shaped windows and many details associated with Hindu architecture. The man who built Sezincote Hall, Colonel John Cockerell, had made a fortune in India and, upon his return to England, spontaneously decided to have the property built.
The process of hot-dip galvanising and powder coating our wall trellises
We hot-dip galvanise our metal wall trellises and other products to make the steel rustproof.
This involves a layer of zinc being applied to the steel, which protects it from rusting. However, after many years, even high-quality hot-dip galvanised metal will start to weather, and unsightly rust patches can appear. This is where powder coating can help. Aside from giving our products their final colour, powder coating gives the metal an additional layer of protection against weathering. When used together, these two processes are able to protect steel from rusting for decades! Our products really are built to last, so once you’ve mounted the Sezincote Set or the Sezincote Grand Set or any of our other wall-mounted trellises, you will be able to enjoy them for many, many years to come!
